Norma is a fabulous teacher and lovely person. She worked with our son twice weekly over a 10-month period from August 2018 to May 2019. They reviewed basic math facts, multiplication and long division, as well as basic pre-Algebra, such as order of operations, exponents, and positive and negative integers. Norma was always organized, well-prepared and timely. She encouraged him and always had a positive attitude. She was highly sensitive to his needs. For example, she recognized that he needed movement to improve focus, so she would stand with him at a whiteboard where they would work on a word problem, and then move to another black board to do a different set of problems. She came prepared with colorful markers and she celebrated achievements with stars, stickers and other fun markers of progress. She believed in his ability to master the concepts and supported him by presenting the material in a methodical yet creative way. If Norma had not moved, we would still be seeking her services! I recommend her highly and without any reservation. She is an exceptionally gifted teacher and beautiful human being. Thank you, Norma! We are forever grateful to you !!!
